Founded in 1983
The mixed choir of the Technical University of Košice was founded in 1983. Collegium Technicum is one of the best academic choirs in Slovakia. He has won many awards at international festivals and competitions in Slovakia and abroad, the highest at festivals: Prague, Middlesbrough (GB) – the most successful choir in the competition, Český Krumlov, St. Petersburg.
In 2003 the choir received the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Košice City Award and in 2013 the 30th anniversary of the Košice Self-Governing Region President's Award. Collegium Technicum has been conducted by Tatiana Kanišáková since 2010.
Cross-border corps
Collegium Technicum conducted 46 professional conductors (32 from abroad) – Jiří Bělohlávek (CZ), Peter Phiplips (GB), Oliver Dohnányi, Ondrej Lénard, Lubomír Mátl (CZ), Jakub Hrùša (CZ), Tomáš Hanus (CZ), Tomáš Koutník (CZ), Peter Breiner, Georg Kugi (A), Irina Bogdanovich (RF), Gábor Hollerung (H), Gergely Ménesy (H), Zbyněk Müller (CZ), Somtow Sucharitkul (TH) and others. Zbor sang with renowned soloists, e.g. Miroslav Dvorský, Peter Dvorský, Ľubica Rybárska, Martin Babjak, Peter Mikuláš, Peter Berger, Michal Lehotský, Jiří Sulženko (CZ), Eva Dřízgová(CZ), Rafal Bartminski(PL), József Mukk(H), Michaela Várady and others.
He cooperated with university choirs from Split, Krakow, Madrid, Budapest, Moscow, Oslo, León, Warwick, Prague, Bratislava, Ostrava, Bologna, Lisbon, Wisconsin, Krakow, Warsava, Bialystok, Ljubljana, Riga, Brno, Tampere and Bangkok.

Successful collaborations
Since the 1986/87 season, Collegium Technicum has been continuously cooperating with the Košice State Philharmonic. This cooperation resulted in the release of 26 oratorial works, many of which were premiered in Košice. The choir also cooperated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovak Radio, FOK Prague, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, with orchestras of the State Theatre in Košice, the State Opera in Banská Bystrica and several university and festival orchestras at home and abroad.
From the discography Collegium Technicum we present the author's CD Ivan Hrušovský Cantate Domino (1997), the author's CD Zdeněk Lukáš Te Deum laudamus (2002) and the CD Collegium Technicum in Opera (2007), as well as the 30th anniversary concert of Collegium Technicum at KHJ in 2013 (CD and DVD). These include numerous recordings of mainly annual concerts of the choir.
